Stripe and Advent Have Offered More Than $53 Billion for PayPal.
|

|
Stripe and private equity firm Advent International reportedly made a joint cash offer of $60.50 per share for PayPal, valuing the company at more than $53 billion. The proposal carries about $50 billion in committed bank financing and represents a 28% premium over PayPal's recent closing price. The firms would split ownership equally and reportedly plan to keep PayPal intact, but discussions are ongoing and no deal has been agreed.
