SimpleX Chat is a privacy-first messenger that does not ask for a phone number, email, username or any persistent user identifier, not even a handle. Every connection uses one-time queue addresses so the server never sees who is talking to whom or how people are related. All user data lives locally in an encrypted database on your device, messages are only temporarily relayed and then deleted, and the whole stack is open source under AGPL-3.0 across iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, and Linux. Jack Dorsey has backed SimpleX with $1.3M and Vitalik Buterin donated 128 ETH, but most people still have no idea it exists.

Google Finance Finally Exits Beta With Portfolios and a Real App.
|

Google Finance is now out of beta globally with a dedicated Android app, upgraded portfolio tracking, and an AI-powered research tool. Portfolios make a comeback after being removed in 2017: you can consolidate all your holdings in a single dashboard, upload CSVs, PDFs, or screenshots, or just describe your investments and let the AI recreate them. A feature called Key Moments explains why a stock moved, and scheduled briefings let you ask for things like a daily pre-market summary and have Google Finance quietly assemble that intel in the background. An iOS app is planned later this year.
