🎥 BYTEDANCE · SEEDANCE 2.5 · AI VIDEO
Seedance 2.5 Jumps to 30 Second AI Video and 4K, Plus a Built In IP Money Machine.
Seedance 2.5 AI video demo
ByteDance’s Volcano Engine is rolling out Seedance 2.5, a major upgrade to its video generation model. It can now generate a single 30 second native video in one go and ingest up to 50 mixed reference assets at once for tight style and motion control. At the same time Seedance 2.0 has been bumped to native 4K output. On top of the model itself, ByteDance is launching an AI copyright commercialization platform that lets users legally remix licensed IP and share revenue on platforms like Douyin.
📌 Seedance 2.5 can generate one continuous 30 second clip and take up to 50 multimodal reference materials to steer style, motion, and framing.
⚡ Seedance 2.0 now supports native 4K output, pushing image quality closer to pro grade footage instead of short social clips only.
🔭 ByteDance is pairing the model with a rights platform so creators can legally remix classic movies, use IP like Stephen Chow’s films, and share revenue.

✋ CRYPTOSCREEN · IOS · PRIVACY UI
This iPhone App Only Reveals What Your Hand Covers.
CryptoScreen is a native iOS app that hides your screen and only shows content under your hand, like shielding an ATM keypad. It uses multi touch input instead of the camera or proximity sensors, so it never needs camera access. The rest of the display stays blurred or hidden while you read or type inside a small, hand sized window. It ships with App Clip and iMessage support and was built to solve a very specific privacy itch in a clean, playful way.
📌 No camera permission, no face tracking. Just touch input that gates what part of the screen is allowed to render text.
⚡ Perfect for reading or entering sensitive info in public when someone is a bit too close on the train or in a queue.
🔭 It is a nice example of “small, weird, shippable” - one neat interaction, built to production quality, on the App Store.

🐡 SAKANA FUGU · MULTI AGENT · OPENAI API
Fugu Makes a Whole Agent Swarm Feel Like One Model.
Sakana’s Fugu (and the stronger Fugu Ultra) is a multi agent system wrapped in a single OpenAI compatible API. Under the hood it routes tasks across a pool of expert models, including itself recursively, and still looks like one model to your code. On Sakana’s benchmarks it matches or beats frontier systems like Fable and Mythos on engineering, scientific reasoning, and long horizon tasks like autonomous ML research, CAD, and even blindfold chess.
📌 Fugu coordinates multiple frontier models through one endpoint so you do not have to hand build your own router and memory stack.
⚡ Designed to avoid single vendor lock in and export control risk by leaning on many models instead of one monolith.
🔭 If you are building agents today, Fugu is a glimpse of the “router as product” future rather than every team rolling their own orchestration.

🎓 CAPWORDS · LANGUAGE LEARNING · APPLE DESIGN AWARD
A Dad Built a Camera Based Language App For His Daughter. Apple Gave It an Award.
CapWords is a language learning app where you point your camera at anything in the real world and it teaches you the word in your target language. It was originally built by a dad for his daughter and is now polished enough to land an Apple Design Award. It is a neat example of how a single, tight use case plus a strong camera UI can stand out in a very crowded learning space.
📌 Point, learn, move on. No decks, no streaks, just ambient vocab building based on whatever is in front of you.
⚡ The design win shows there is still room for tiny, personal origin stories in a world of giant AI learning platforms.
🔭 For builders, it is a reminder that “one great interaction” can beat “ten average features” in both UX and distribution.

🛡️ OPENAI · DAYBREAK · GPT-5.5-CYBER
OpenAI’s Cyber Model Now Turns More Bugs Into Real Exploits. Access Is Gated.
OpenAI Daybreak cybersecurity model
OpenAI expanded its Daybreak initiative with GPT-5.5-Cyber, a model built for serious defensive security work. On ExploitGym it hits a 39.5% success rate turning known vulnerabilities into working exploits, up from GPT-5.5’s 25.95%. It also posts gains on CyberGym and SEC-bench Pro. The catch: it is only available through Trusted Access for Cyber and partner programs for verified defenders and security vendors, not for general API use.
📌 GPT-5.5-Cyber posts 39.5% on ExploitGym versus 25.95% for GPT-5.5, plus higher scores on CyberGym and SEC-bench Pro for code-level security work.
⚡ Models are wired into Codex Security and the new Daybreak Cyber Partner Program so vendors can ship AI-assisted patching workflows to customers.
🔭 For builders this is the pattern to watch: the most capable cyber models move behind gated programs while general GPT-5.5 stays the default for most users.
