Open-Source Plans Put a Working MRI Scanner Within Reach of Universities and Small Clinics.

The OSI² ONE project is developing a modular, open-source low-field MRI system built around a 50 mT permanent magnet instead of the massive superconducting magnets used in hospital scanners. Depending on configuration, estimated material cost is roughly 25,000 to 60,000 euros. The head and extremities scanner uses a 30 cm inner bore, weighs around 150 kg, plugs into a standard power socket, and targets 1.5 × 1.5 × 5 mm³ spatial resolution. Its hardware designs are licensed under CERN-OHL-W and most software under GPL-3.0.

Shared Claude Conversations Can Be Discoverable Through Google Search.

Claude users have found shared conversation links appearing in Google search results. The issue affects chats that users deliberately shared through Claude's public Share feature, not private conversations. Shared URLs are difficult to guess, but search engines can discover them when those links are posted on publicly crawlable pages. Anthropic says its share pages include an X-Robots-Tag intended to prevent indexing, but a robots.txt block can stop Google from reading that instruction while still allowing the URL itself to surface in results.
