Microsoft has released TRELLIS.2, a 4 billion-parameter image-to-3D model that generates structured 3D assets with full PBR materials. The project uses an O-Voxel representation and produces geometry plus base color, roughness, metallic, and opacity maps suitable for downstream rendering. At 512³ resolution, the project reports a total generation time of about three seconds on an NVIDIA H100, while higher resolutions take longer. The open release includes model weights, training code, configurations, and export paths for assets that can be used in common 3D tools and game engines.
