ChatGPT Is Improving Its Paid and Free Experiences With GPT-5.6 Sol and Luna.

OpenAI has updated GPT-5.6 Sol for Plus and Pro users, bringing the same model to both Instant and deeper-reasoning chats. The company says the upgrade delivers more factual and focused responses, with 68% fewer factual errors than the earlier GPT-5.5 Instant model in its high-stakes evaluations. Paid users also receive a reasoning-effort slider, while GPT-5.6 Luna is becoming the default for Free and Go users. Starting next week, free users will receive unlimited text chats and a new Think button for harder questions, subject to abuse safeguards.

The work-in-progress project also supports shared multiplayer races, letting users create a start and finish point anywhere on the map and send a link to friends.

WanGP is an open-source browser interface for running AI video and image models locally. It supports Wan 2.1 and 2.2, LTX-2, Hunyuan Video, LTX Video, Flux, Qwen Image, audio, and text-to-speech workflows, alongside queue management and LoRA support. The project is built for lower-VRAM hardware, with certain smaller or optimized models able to operate with around 6GB of VRAM. Local generation means there are no platform watermarks, cloud uploads, or per-generation limits.

China Has Launched AI-Powered Satellites Designed to Turn Raw Images Into Answers in Orbit.

|
China launched the Oriental Smart Eye 01 and 02 hyperspectral satellites aboard a sea-based Smart Dragon-3 rocket from waters near Haiyang, Shandong Province. The satellites carry onboard AI computing modules with up to 400 trillion operations per second of capacity. Instead of sending all raw imagery back to Earth, they can detect anomalies, identify surface features, extract useful information, and intelligently compress data in orbit before downlinking it.

📌 Onboard analysis can reduce the amount of data that needs to be transmitted and cut the delivery of useful observations from days to minutes.
