🧪 5 Agent Tasks. Fable 5 vs Opus 4.8. The Gap Is Bigger Than Expected.

🤖 ANTHROPIC · CLAUDE FABLE 5 · MYTHOS CLASS
Anthropic Released Fable 5. The Model They Called Too Dangerous Is Now in Your Claude App.
On June 9, Anthropic launched Claude Fable 5 - the first publicly available Mythos-class model, a new tier sitting above Opus. It leads nearly every tested benchmark, with an 80.3% score on SWE-Bench Pro vs Opus 4.8's 69.2%. The longer and more complex the task, the bigger Fable 5's lead. It's included free on Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans until June 22. After that, usage credits are required.
📌 API model ID is claude-fable-5. Available on Claude API, Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Foundry from day one.
⚠️ Free plan access ends June 22. After June 23 it requires usage credits. Lock in your testing window before it closes.
🔭 Mythos 5 - same model, safeguards lifted, stays restricted to Glasswing partners. What Fable 5 can do publicly is already remarkable. What Mythos 5 can do is still not for everyone.

🧪 HYPERAGENT · FABLE 5 · AGENT BENCHMARKS
Hyperagent Ran 5 Ambitious Tasks on Fable 5 and Opus 4.8 Side by Side.
The Airtable-backed agent platform Hyperagent tested Fable 5 on five open-ended creative and visual tasks and ran Opus 4.8 on the same prompts: visualising all NASA asteroid data with orbit traces, designing a 100-acre fitness retreat, reconstructing Apollo control panels from PDFs, simulating a World Cup jersey supply chain, and modelling solar flare aurora effects. Fable 5 produced more creative, more ambitious, visually richer results in every case and sometimes at lower cost.
📌 Fable 5 is available on Hyperagent now. Live demo links for each of the 5 tasks are in the original thread.
⚡ The visual reasoning leap is the standout finding. Fable 5 adds hover details, orbit traces, and 3D fidelity that Opus 4.8 simply did not produce.
🔭 For agentic tasks running over hours, the performance gap compounds. Short prompts may not show the difference. Long autonomous runs will.

Build the AI skills senior engineers need to get ahead
AI is already handling large parts of execution. That shift is not coming later. It is happening now.
What is left, and becoming more valuable, is the ability to design systems, apply AI thoughtfully, and own outcomes in production. That is the work strong teams expect from senior engineers in 2026.
Gauntlet is built for engineers who want to operate at that level. In a single week, 15 hiring partners conducted 246 interviews with challengers onsite in Austin. Apply now.

🎬 FABLE 5 · VIDEO AUTOMATION · CREATORS
Fable 5 Downloaded a YouTube Video, Found the Viral Moments, Added Captions and Scheduled It.
Within hours of Fable 5 launching, Vadim Strizheus posted a full end-to-end demo of the model automating short-form video production via an MCP workflow. The pipeline downloads a YouTube video, detects the viral moments, adds hooking captions, reframes to the speaker and schedules the post to social media - all autonomously. Fable 5's longer context and stronger tool-calling is what makes the full loop reliable.
📌 Full MCP workflow docs available at vugolaai.com/docs. Step-by-step setup linked in the original thread.
⚡ The individual tools existed before. What changed: Fable 5 can run them all in one unbroken agentic loop without falling apart mid-task.
🔭 Every creator paying a video editor for clipping and captioning should be running this workflow by end of month. The cost difference is not marginal.

☁️ GOOGLE CLOUD · FABLE 5 · ENTERPRISE
Google Cloud Made Fable 5 Available to All Enterprise Customers on Day One. AWS Did the Same.
Google Cloud listed Claude Fable 5 as generally available inside the Google Cloud Agent Platform on the same day Anthropic launched it. Enterprise teams can build and scale with the model immediately with no waitlist. AWS Bedrock and Microsoft Foundry went live simultaneously.
📌 Available on Google Cloud Agent Platform, AWS Bedrock, and Microsoft Foundry from launch day. No separate waitlist on any platform.
⚡ Consumption-based Enterprise plans get Fable 5 immediately. Seat-based Enterprise plans are included free until June 22.
🔭 Anthropic's IPO is expected as early as October 2026. Day-one availability across all three hyperscalers is the revenue story they're building toward that listing.

🪟 FABLE 5 · ONE-SHOT CODING · BROWSER OS
Fable 5 Built a Working Windows 11 Clone in One Prompt. Start Menu, File Explorer, Edge, Solitaire.
A single "build me a Windows OS" prompt sent to Claude Fable 5 MAX produced a fully interactive Windows 11-style environment running entirely in the browser. The 61-second demo shows a realistic desktop with a taskbar and Start menu, functional File Explorer with folders, a full Settings app with display, sound, personalization and the classic Bliss wallpaper, a built-in Copilot window that responds to prompts and tells jokes, Classic Solitaire, Minesweeper and Snake and a working Microsoft Edge that loads external sites including Wikipedia.
📌 Runs entirely in the browser. No install, no backend. Share it as a URL the same way you'd share a Codex Sites app.
⚠️ Community notes suggest the output closely mirrors win11.blueedge.me. Whether Fable generated it from scratch or reproduced an existing project is still being debated.
🔭 Original or not, a model that produces something this complex and visually complete from one prompt is a different tool than anything that existed 6 months ago.
