This week was big for hands on AI. Claude helped recover a nine year old Bitcoin wallet, OpenAI put Codex on your phone, Meta shipped a real talking agent, and a few smart people quietly shipped tools that make daily work easier.

🧠 Claude · Real World Win

Claude Helped Unlock a Nine Year Old Bitcoin Wallet

Screenshot of Claude helping recover a Bitcoin wallet

A user had a Bitcoin wallet from 2017 with 5 BTC inside and a broken recovery flow. They paired Claude with btcrecover, pasted the logs, and asked it to figure out what was going wrong.

Claude spotted that the second decryption step was using the wrong algorithm and that the real password was a shared key plus password combination. After updating the command, btcrecover decrypted the private keys and the funds were confirmed.

The model did not magically guess a password. It debugged a messy tool chain, which is how a lot of real work with AI will look in practice.

📱 OpenAI · Codex

Codex Now Runs From Your Phone

OpenAI added Codex to the ChatGPT mobile app. You can start new runs, review what Codex did, and approve the next step without sitting at your desk.

The code and tools still run on your laptop, Mac mini, or dev box. The phone becomes the remote control for the work that is happening on your machines.

→ Start, pause, and steer workflows from the mobile app while Codex keeps executing in the background.
→ Good fit for long running tasks like code refactors, data cleanup, or batch content work.
→ As a builder, think of this as a pattern. The control surface can live on the phone while the heavy lifting stays on your hardware.

🗣️ Meta · Voice Agent

Meta AI Starts to Feel Like a Live Assistant

Meta launched AI voice conversations powered by its new Muse Spark model. You can talk, interrupt, change topics, and switch languages, and it keeps the context without resetting.

While you talk, it can pull in Reels, maps, and recommendations on screen. Turn the camera on and you can point at a menu, product, or street and ask follow up questions in real time.

→ This is closer to a “talking layer” on top of Meta’s apps than a separate chatbot.
→ The camera link hints at how assistants will blend voice, vision, and the feed into one loop.
→ If you build consumer tools, treat this as a preview of what users will expect from “help” in your app.

🧩 Nous · Model Hub

One Portal, Three Hundred Plus Models

Nous is pushing its Portal as a single place to use many models instead of jumping between logins and dashboards. It wraps more than three hundred models behind one subscription and one token meter.

For now, Qwen 3.6 Plus is free inside the portal. It is a strong general model with long context, solid coding, and multilingual support, which makes it easy to test without wiring up yet another provider.

→ Centralizes billing, usage, and model switching in one place.
→ Lets you try different models for the same task without touching code.
→ As a builder, this is useful for quick benchmarking and cheap experiments.

Twenty Five Small Skills for Real Work

Nico shared a set of twenty five “skills” written in simple markdown. Each one is a small prompt file for Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini that covers a specific job like research, outlining, daily planning, or code review.

You load the ones you need, combine a few, and reuse them. It is a reminder that you do not need a huge system. You just need a handful of solid prompts you can call on repeat.

→ Covers five areas. Studying, work productivity, research, video, and coding.
→ Saved as files, not vibes, which makes them easier to tweak and share.
→ Good pattern to steal for your own stack. Build a small library instead of starting from zero every time.
