Apple Says OpenAI's Hardware Business Is "Rotten to Its Core."
Apple lawsuit against OpenAI over alleged trade secret theft
Apple filed a lawsuit in federal court against OpenAI, its hardware subsidiary io Products, and two former Apple employees, accusing them of a coordinated campaign to steal trade secrets while OpenAI builds its own consumer hardware device. The complaint alleges OpenAI's chief hardware officer, a 24-year Apple veteran who worked on iPhone and Apple Watch design, used confidential project code names during interviews and told candidates to bring physical components like batteries and circuit boards for show and tell sessions. Apple also claims former employees emailed themselves confidential files before leaving, and says roughly 400 current OpenAI staff are former Apple employees. Apple is seeking damages and an injunction, saying it filed suit only after OpenAI failed to respond to concerns raised back in February.
📌 This is the first time in Apple's 50-year history it has sued a company it considers a close partner.
⚡ About 400 ex-Apple staff now at OpenAI shows just how aggressively OpenAI has been poaching hardware talent.

🎬 MSTUDIO · AI FILMMAKING · LAUNCHED
MStudio Takes You From Script to Finished Scene in One Workspace.
MStudio AI filmmaking platform from script to storyboard and cinematic video
MStudio is an AI filmmaking platform that turns a script or storyboard into cinematic video complete with AI-powered VFX and CGI. It covers the full pipeline in one place: script to storyboard with consistent characters, then animatic, then final video and audio. It's aimed at directors and studios who want to speed up pre-visualization without switching between five different tools.
📌 Character consistency across storyboard frames is the detail that usually breaks AI video tools.
⚡ Script to final export in one workspace means fewer handoffs between tools.

CodeWiki Turns Any Repo Into Docs You'd Actually Want to Read.
Google CodeWiki automatically generates documentation and architecture diagrams from code repositories
Google CodeWiki scans an entire codebase and generates a structured wiki with diagrams, architecture breakdowns, and step-by-step tutorials, updating automatically as the code changes. It also ships a chatbot connected to Gemini that understands the full project, so you can ask it questions instead of digging through files yourself. It's in public preview now for public repos at codewiki.google, with a waitlist open for private repo support and a CLI extension.
📌 Docs updating automatically as code changes solves the biggest reason documentation goes stale.
⚡ Private repo support is still on a waitlist, so this is most useful for public projects right now.

🛡️ OPENAI · BIO BOUNTY · $50,000 REWARD
OpenAI Will Pay $50,000 to Whoever Breaks GPT-5.6's Biosafety Guardrails.
OpenAI announces a $50,000 bounty for universal GPT-5.6 biosafety jailbreaks
OpenAI raised its Bio Bounty Program reward from 25,000 dollars to 50,000 dollars for anyone who can find a universal jailbreak against GPT-5.6's biosafety protections, with GPT-5.5 also in scope until testing ends on July 27, 2026. Accepted applicants need an existing ChatGPT account and must sign an NDA before testing, and the program stays focused on biosafety challenges going forward. The move comes right after the UK's AI Security Institute found separate universal jailbreaks in GPT-5.6 that unlocked autonomous cyber exploit capabilities, underlining why OpenAI is pushing harder on red-teaming.
📌 Doubling the reward suggests the earlier 25k bounty wasn't attracting strong enough submissions.
⚡ UK AISI's separate cyber jailbreak findings show real guardrail gaps already exist beyond just biosafety.
