Anthropic Built a Model Too Dangerous to Release. It Just Found 10,000 Critical Software Bugs.

Last month, Anthropic launched Project Glasswing, a coalition of AWS, Apple, Broadcom, Cisco, CrowdStrike, Google, JPMorganChase, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Palo Alto Networks. The initiative gives these 11 partners restricted access to Claude Mythos Preview, a frontier model Anthropic considers too capable to release publicly. The reason: it can find and exploit software vulnerabilities better than almost any human alive.
On May 22, Anthropic published the first results. More than 10,000 high or critical severity bugs found. Cloudflare alone surfaced 2,000 bugs.. 400 critical with fewer false positives than its entire human-led testing team produced. Some partners saw bug discovery rates jump over 10x.

📌 Claude Mythos Preview is not available to the public. Partners use it only for scanning their own systems and critical open-source software.

⚠️ The same model that finds vulnerabilities can exploit them. Anthropic is racing to put it in defenders hands before attackers build anything equivalent.

🔭 Anthropic is reportedly eyeing an IPO as early as October 2026. Glasswing is great science and better marketing for that story.

CapCut announced on May 22 that it's integrating directly into the Google Gemini app. Users will soon edit videos and images inside Gemini using CapCut tools via voice prompts, no app switching. Adobe made the same move at Google I/O. This is Google turning Gemini into a creative OS, not just a chatbot.

It's powered by Gemini 3.5 Flash, which Google claims is 4x faster than rival frontier models. Gemini CLI is being deprecated. Migrate by June 18.

At the Alibaba Cloud Summit in Hangzhou on May 20, the company announced three things back to back. First: Qwen3.7-Max, its next flagship model built for agentic workloads.. sustained multi-step tasks, long-horizon reasoning, and built-in safety guardrails. Second: the Zhenwu M890 chip, which triples the performance of its predecessor, ships with 144 GB GPU memory, and has already been deployed to 400+ customers across 20 industries. Third: Alibaba's AI models and apps are expected to hit 30 billion yuan ($4.42B) in recurring revenue by year-end.
